The UK's Merseyside Women of the Year Awards are honoring women who've made a difference in their communities, and this year's winner is no exception.
Serena Silcock-Prince is the operations manager for Silcock Leisure Group, which includes Silcock's Funland, Silcock's Carousel, and Silcock's Family Restaurant in Southport, per the Liverpool Echo.
She was also named Business Leader of the Year.
"Serena is a force of nature, compassionate, committed to improving the lives of people in her community and a true ambassador for women," the awards' organizers said in a press release.
"The business has been a significant part of tourism offer for generations, attracting countless visitors to the resort," says Silcock-Prince.
She's also been a major sponsor of the annual Ainsdale Show, one of the oldest shows in the North West, which nearly disappeared in 2023 due to a lack of finances.
As part of its sponsorship, Silcock-Prince is entitled to a guest speaker at the show, which it has donated free of charge to local artists.
