If you're an employee of Philadelphia's city government and have an idea for how to improve government, there's a new program for youand it's free.
The " Idea Accelerator" is a joint initiative between the city's Innovation Fund and the Academy for Municipal Innovation, and it's designed to help city workers "develop strong ideas and pitches, test promising ideas for resident-facing programs and services, and continue advancing the Innovation Network and understanding municipal innovation across the City," the city's website says, per Philly.com.
The goal is for three project teams to begin work in January 2025 and submit a proposal for the Innovation Fund's next round of funding.
"We hope to continue growing our Innovation Ecosystem to provide opportunities to enable government to be more creative, thoughtful, and innovative," the city's director of innovation tells Philly.com.
