The government of the United Arab Emirates is kicking off its annual charity drive, Day for Dubai, to help people affected by natural disasters and other crises around the world.
The government-run Dubai Cares agency says it has teamed up with 24 donor organizations and volunteer institutions to help provide medical, food, and shelter assistance to people affected by conflicts and crises in countries, communities, and peoples, the National reports.
