In Historic First, Texas House Approves Private School Voucher Program
The Texas House gave final approval Thursday to a bill that would create a $1 billion private school voucher program.
The vote marks a historic milestone and brings Gov.
Rick Perry closer to becoming the state's first openly gay governor.
The bill is expected to be signed into law by the end of the year.
It would be the first of its kind in the U.S.
