That's the day the rare muscle disorder, which causes inflammation and degeneration of the skeletal muscles, will be officially diagnosed.

Eichenbrenner, a Certified Association Executive (CAE) with a master's in business administration (MBA), has nearly 20 years of experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, advocacy, and health care, per a TMA press release.

"She brings a wealth of experience, skills, and passion to our organization and our mission," says David Mochel, MD, chair of TMA's board of directors.

"We are confident that she will lead TMA to new heights of success and service to our members and the myositis community."
