Detroit's iconic Michigan Central Station is open for business after a six-year renovation that saw millions of gallons of water removed from the building.
The station, which had fallen into deep decay in the city's Corktown neighborhood, was purchased by Ford in 2018 to become a campus for mobility and innovation, reports One Detroit, and a concert featuring Detroit artists Big Sean, Jack White, Diana Ross, and others was held last week.
The first floor will be open for self-guided tours through August.

A Gilesgate-based shop and community facility, Hexham’s Core Music, launches a separate workshop where up to six people will be trained how to repair guitars and make ukuleles. The European Social Fund grant supported the project and has secured funds through the County Durham Communication Foundation to equip the workshop in Burn Lane.
