If Houston voters approve a bond measure in November, the Houston Independent School District will be able to break ground on a number of projects, including a new middle school and a new high school, KHOU reports.
"After a thoughtful process, the Board has established a Bond Oversight Committee of committed Houstonians who have the experience and skills necessary to provide meaningful oversight," says HISD School Board President Audrey Momanaee in a statement.
The committee, which is made up of 13 members and two alternates, is tasked with monitoring the bond and its projects, should it be approved.
